“What we are seing now is the case of corporate Britain and USA paying the price of its greed. How so? Well, during the last 10 years, did a single day go buy without news about company A moving production abroad to ‘cut costs’, company B outsourcing the entire IT department etc. These things have a nasty habit of catching up with you after a while. Corporate America and Britan embarked on a mission or persecution of its workforce some 10 years ago. The message is loud and clear ‘we will sack you using any means necessary and if you survive firing squad we will either outsource or offshore your job’. Now what? Now they want people to start spending as without movement of capital there can be no recovery. Who is leading European recovery? Germany, thank you very much. Why? Because they are export based economy. Outsourcing, offshoring, moving productino abroad is all very well but once your new shiny product hits the showroom who are you going to sell it to? You sacked everybody that moves, remember? They have well shot themselves in the foot and it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. Anyway, I read the news a few days ago: Jaguar Land Rover to retain three UK factories. Three times hip hip hooray!!! This is the only way that we will dig outselves out of this mess, by employing our own workforce. Only then we can talk about recovery and debt. I hope and pray this is just the beginning.”
