What am I missing to believe that after Supreme Court decision to ban TikTok, nothing can be done except selling it (or half of it) to a US entity?

Obviously, Trump believes he can find some good American company to pay ByteDance for TikTok, which would then pay Trump for enabling the deal and saving the day.
