A totally different story
Just a quick exercise:
Let’s presume what you see below is real.
1. First thing – on 8th of June Apple recalls the (entire?) European batch of iPhone 4 – stored somewhere in Italy (see origin departure point – Bassano Del Grappa).
This is the trail one iPhone 4 has left in TNT system :

2. Foxconn quickly (between 13th of June and 24th of June) disassembles and repairs (adds, removes or modifies parts of) iPhone 4, an operation requiring full dismantling of the device, therefore the yellow blotches caused by not-yet-dried solution behind the front glass screen:
3. Starting with 16th of June – Apple hires RF engineers. The most probable reason is the entire team has been fired somewhere between 6th and 16th of June. Apple doesn’t need new engineers that quick and that many because it’s eager to solve the antenna issue, but because it left totally uncovered.
This is the announce everybody thought is about Apple trying to get over antennae issue:
Just a shot in the dark: is there anybody there that had both yellow blotches AND “death grip” on the same device? There doesn’t seem to be such a combination report on any forum that I’ve looked up; so if there’s somebody who experienced both, please report.
EDIT: Some unlucky fellow reported on MacRumors forum he had both issues on his iPhours; so, there had to be a different reason for the batch to be pull out (if it really was pulled out).
